Going back seven or eight years, we always ring in the new year at the Signature Grand in Davie, Florida. The venue is elegant and is set up beautifully as it normally hosts weddings and special events.
This year was no exception. Everything was beautiful. Right down to the centerpieces. Each table was slightly unique.
For my outfit, I wore a dress that I purchased this season in this season’s popular color, burgundy (now on sale!). I love the way it drapes and the pin on the hip sparkles. You can see the shoes and accessories here.
Because we are loyal to this party, we get invited to a VIP champagne reception before the dinner and then have priority seating (love it!). The food was amazing. Our camera was acting up but I did manage to snap a few pictures with my iPhone.
Filet mignon and lobster tail can never go wrong in my book.
And the dessert was so pretty. Fudge lava cake with a macaroon. Yum. BTW. Calories don’t count on New Year’s Eve.
My choice of beverage for the evening was champagne. I think you can tell from my silly smile that I had several. My husband was more into martinis and red wine, followed by an Irish coffee. I think you can tell from his eyes that he was feeling no pain.
As usual, we had a wonderful time. I hope you had a wonderful New Year’s Eve.
Today I’ve linked up with the Not Dead Yet blog for Visible Monday. Better late than never!

Wow, you went all out for NYE! You look gorgeous! What a fun evening you must have had!

Thanks Isa. It really was a lot of fun. I jumped on over to your blog and enjoyed reading your posts. I tried to comment on one of your posts (Rainy Days) but I’m using a browser that’s not supported (Explorer 10). Oh well. What I wanted to say was that 1) I love your shoes 2) What an interesting type of rain you have–it must be a killer for your hair! 3) I loved your description of how you get your friend to take pictures of you!
Cheers,
Tammy
Not just pretty shoes, Tammy but a dress that is fit for the Oscars! It looks a fabulous New Year celebration.
Thank you, it was a lot of fun. As for a dress for the Oscars…how nice of you to say that! Fortunately, it was a lot less expensive than those dresses.
OMG! Tammy, you look gorgeous, fabulous dress! My kind of (ex) parties Brings back memories of the Ritz hotel in Paris.. LOL… You and Tim look scrumptious! Happy you had a marvelous time, loved the food selection also. Great start for the New year… Keep it up girl… xoxo
Thanks Christiane. Somehow I think that the Ritz hotel in Paris would manage to top this place. Tim and I love the Ritz (anywhere, anytime).
P.S. Tim and I honeymooned in Paris and we had the opportunity to go to the oldest restaurant in Paris: La Tour d’Argent. After dining in that restaurant, I don’t think American restaurants (as lovely as they can be) can hold a torch to Paris restaurants….so elegant…so romantic.
I now have goose bumps reading about La Tour d’Argent, 5 stars restaurant, number one for years. When you go back (soon I hope) you must go to “Chez Taillevent”. another elite place you will enjoy. Be ready to be escorted to the bathroom by two gentlemen… A little embarrassing but with so much galanterie LOL…I am so glad you are enjoying life, That is the ONLY way… xoxo
Another reason to go back to Paris!
xoxo
Gorgeous dress and gorgeous you! Thanks for sharing your New Year’s Eve with Visible Monday and have a wonderful day : >
Thank you Patti. I’m happy to be a part of it.
Cheers,
Tammy
